What if I am not an athlete? Can I still work with Athlete Insight?

Absolutely! While Dr. Bennett specializes in the clinical and performance needs of athletes, she enjoys working with individuals seeking support to thrive in life regardless of athletic status.

How long will I be in therapy?

Predicting the duration of therapy is difficult because individuals are unique and situations are variable. Athlete Insight understands that no two stories are the same. Rather than fixate on a number of weeks or sessions, Dr. Bennett works with individuals to develop meaningful goals and commits to regular assessment of progress and goal completion.

How frequent are sessions?

Typically, individuals attend weekly sessions; however, they may attend more or less frequently based on individual needs and progress. For example, you may attend weekly sessions at the start of therapy and taper down to biweekly and monthly as you near goal completion.

How long are sessions?

Therapy sessions range from 50-90 minutes in length based on individual need. Usually, sessions are 50 minutes long unless it is your first session (75 minutes) or an EMDR session (90 minutes).

What ages do you work with?

Athlete Insight supports the clinical and performance needs of adolescents and adults.

Do you take insurance?

Athlete Insight does not accept insurance out of respect for individual privacy. When therapists bill insurance directly, insurance companies require the sharing of personal information and rely on diagnoses to dictate the course and type of treatment. Dr. Bennett prefers to treat individuals uniquely by tailoring therapy to personalities, needs, life experiences, and goals.

Athlete Insight provides super bills that can be submitted directly to your insurance for potential reimbursement; however, the provision of super bills does not guarantee insurance reimbursement. It is best to contact your insurance company directly to fully understand your benefits. Additionally, some individuals submit super bills to health savings accounts (HSAs) for reimbursement.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Athlete Insight accepts cash and checks as forms of payment.

What is your cancellation policy?

Athlete Insight requests 24 hours of notice for cancellation. If you do not cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled session, Athlete Insight bills for the scheduled session in full.

When you turn into the complex, drive to the back of the parking lot where you will find an opening between the buildings with a little creek and walking path. Walk along the creek to building 6087, Suite 103 (south side of the creek). My office is located on the ground level.
